Abstract

The reluctance motor has an AC stator winding for providing a rotary magnetic field and a ferromagnetic rotor (3) with at least one pair of flux regions (10,11) with different flux conduction characteristics, facing the stator (1) which is similarly provided with flux regions (13,14) of differing flux conduction characteristics, differing in number from the number of regions provided by the rotor by a whole multiple of the stator winding pole number.
