Abstract

The invention concerns a system and method for exchanging data in a network, in particular for automatically obtaining offers. The system comprises at least one central server (10) with a data memory which is provided with an input-connection unit and an output-connection unit, and at least one client and one data provider (20, 30) which are used to input and/or fetch data into and/or from the data memory of the central server (10) and can be connected to an input- and/or output-connection unit via a network (40) with terminals. The system is characterized in that the server comprises modules for automatically selecting data providers as a function of a client enquiry, and for automatically forwarding the enquiry to the data providers.
