Abstract
A pair of outdoor pants and jacket with removable pads designed for
protection is presented. The pants have three main forms of protection
covering the thigh, hip and tailbone; however, the design is not limited to
only protecting these areas. The jacket has three main forms for
protection: one for the left and right elbow and one for the back,
protecting the spine and kidneys. The design is not limited to only
protecting these areas. Each protection piece is not permanently affixed
to the outer shell; they connect onto the inner shell of the jacket by way
of stitching or glue. Each component is completely removable. They are
held in place by the way of internal pockets. Each of the pockets has an
upper section/flap, which overlaps the lower portion of the pocket using a
LYRICA@ or SPANDEX@ like material to hold each piece of protection in
place, but not limited to this fabric. The pads themselves are semi-flexible
and made from a silicone based material which is selected from the group
consisting of foam, plastics, and/ or high-density rubber designed for
cushioning. The pads have a design pattern to move and flex with the
wearer. They are positioned on the inside of the garment as the silicone
group consisting of foam, plastics, and or high-density rubber based
material which responds best to body heat. They can be removed,
washed, and replaced easily because they are not permanently sewn or
attached to the main shell or inner shell of the jacket or pants.

[001]In the field of outdoor winter sports, skiers and snowboarders will regularly wear protective equipment regardless of what level they are to protect wrists, hips, thighs, tailbones, head, knees and other areas of the body. The jacket and pants developed have a purpose to help people at all ability levels due to the progressive nature of winter .0 sport. By having removable protection, the user has the flexibility to select a protection pad that would be more appropriate for a beginner, and once they progress, change the protective padding that would be more suitable to their level of advancement.
[002] The progressive protection options require a higher density silicone .s based material to absorb a harder impact. By having the option to swap various strengths of protection in and out of a jacket or pant, it saves on the cost of the purchasing another pair of pants or jacket when they need a different level of protection.
[003] The user can also wash the protection as they are not permanently sewn, glued or attached to the main shell. They are held in place by the way of a pouch that is either sewn, glued to the inner shell. The design is to have the protection as close to the body as possible so body heat can help the protection reach its full potential at point of impact.
[004] There is now a single pant and/or jacket article of clothing created with a water-resistant and breathable material designed for winter sports that has a LYRICA@ or SPANDEX@ like material that form stretchable pockets that overlap each other internally. Changeable based on requirements of the individual wearer, to maintain protection based on their ability.
