Description

AUSTRALIA
Patents Act 1990 COMPLETE SPECIFICATION INNOVATION PATENT DOUBLE HEADED TIE The following statement is a full description of this invention, including the best method of performing it known to me.
For many years the common cable tie has been used for fixing objects together for stability. This invention improves the common tie so as to free up another hand when trying to juggle three or more objects together. With the DOUBLE HEADED TIE the tie can be fixed, then the object can be brought to it and lashed, allowing two free hands to complete the job.
The common tie has a non returnable clip through which the tail with its serated face would pass through one way only. The serated face on the tail would then be caught by the non return clip in the head therefore not allowing the tail to be retrieved at any stage. The tail can then be pulled tighter but cannot be loosened.
By attaching another head, the tail can be made to pass through first head and fastened, leaving remaining tail to be returned to the second head thereby making another loop. This loop can be adjusted to suit the need.
Tie made of plastic or similar UV resistant material strip of designed proportions to suit required need. Tail of varied length with serated face on one side only, #1 head with opening sufficient for the tail to slide through with non return clip moulded to the inner portion of the head opening. Another #2 head, same detail as the #1 head affixed to #1 head opposite to tail, separated by required length* of material same proportions as the tail. width and thickness).
*Length between heads is not critical but needs to suit demand.
Refer to drawing for a better understanding of description.
