Abstract

A wrist operated door pull may be used to modify an existing door handle or is installed as a complete door handle unit. The door pull includes a substantially horizontal portion (21) and an angled flanged portion (23). The user uses the wrist or forearm to press downwardly and pull outwardly in order to open the door. This arrangement reduces potential for contamination when using a door handle. The configuration reduces the potential of catching the wrist or forearm and to allow emergency release to avoid injury.
