Abstract

A method for the production of natural fibre material in a pourable and dispensable form bonded with a thermoplastic is disclosed, whereby natural fibres are homogeneously mixed with a fibrous thermoplastic material. The mixture is spread to give a planar mat-like material and heated by energy input to the melting or softening temperature of the thermoplastic material, such that a bond is generated between the natural fibre and the thermoplastic material and, after cooling, the bonded mixture is cut to a required size or comminuted.
