Abstract

A treated substrate comprises a finish comprising metal particle-containing compounds and/or metal-ion containing compounds. The substrate comprises a yarn, a fabric comprising individual fibers, or a film. The finish is adhered to portion(s) of the surface of the substrate. An independent claim is also included for a process for producing the treated substrate comprising: (a) providing the substrate; (b) providing the finish composition; (c) applying the finish composition to portion(s) of the substrate; and (d) covering treated substrate portion(s) with a binder formulation.
