Description
Lead Acid Battery Chemical Desulphation Treatment TabletsThis invention relates to the desulphation of Lead Acid Batteries in Tablet Form. The sulphation of the lead plates incorporated into lead acid batteries is the major cause of failure in lead acid type batteries. Traditionally the only chemical treatments for lead acid batteries to remove the sulphur build up of the lead plates has been in liquid form. The liquid form of chemical treatment involves the use of acids and sulphates which during the manufacturing stages can become unstable and hazardous by their production of heat. Similarly the consumers use of the liquid form of chemical treatments to remove the sulphur build up on the lead acid plates of lead acid batteries was also hazardous due to the products composition of various acids and sulphates combinations. The lead acid battery chemical desulphation treatment by tablets allows for the safe desulphation treatment of lead acid batteries by not only its chemical composition but also its form, tablets. Both hazardous stages of production and use of a chemical lead acid battery desulphation treatment are overcome by this present invention which provides for a lead acid battery desulphation treatment in a tablet form without the use of liquid acid and sulphates combinations. This invention provides for a lead acid battery desulphation treatment in a dry tablet form. The use of the tablet form using dry powders allows for all chemical reactions to take place only in the battery cell. Liquid chemical treatments previously had two chemical reaction stages which were during mixing/manufacture and then again during the actual treatment of the battery. By providing a chemical desulphation treatment of a lead acid battery in tablet form the chemicals that comprise the treatment are greatly changed to those that are currently in use in liquid chemical treatments. This change in the chemical composition along with the use of tablet form allows for a saftey level in the manufacture and use of chemical lead acid battery desulphation treatments previously unacheivable.
