Abstract
A communication network comprising at least an application server means (APSE), a subscriber information register means (HSS), a call state control functional entity (CSCF), and a service portal (SP), wherein the application server means (APSE) is connected to the service portal (SP) and to the call state control functional entity (CSCF), the service portal is further connected to the home subscriber server means (HSS), and the subscriber information register means (HSS) is further connected to the call state control functional entity (CSCF). In connection with the proposed network architecture, methods for handling service scripts within the network with regard to creation and storage of service scripts, provisioning the service scripts for a user, distribution of the scripts in the network and execution of the scripts during call processing are also described.
