Abstract

Bottle overcorking system, particularly for sparkling wines, comprising a hood consisting of two shells (1, 1') positionable around the ring and cork of the bottle. The system also comprises a removable opening tab (8) whose function is partly to secure the two shells (1, 1') of the hood to each other by fixing means when said hood is positioned around the ring (6) and cork (7) of the bottle, and partly to allow the two shells (1, 1') of the hood to be separated when said tab (8) is removed. Each shell (1, 1') of the hood possesses a skirt of semitubular shape (2, 3) positionable around the ring and cork of the bottle, the one against the other in an axial plane via their adjacent edges. The opening tab (8) possesses a U-like part, said part being intended to fit over the hood and extend on either side down the adjacent edges of the skirt (2, 3) of each shell (1, 1').
