Abstract
The exchanger (1) has a set of ducts parallely arranged inside a framework (2), where an exhaust gas to be cooled by heat exchange with a cooling fluid is circulated in the ducts. A connection unit (3) is connected with a duct of an exhaust gas recirculation line. A bypass duct (6) is integrated to the connection unit, and circulates the cooling fluid till an exhaust gas recirculation valve regulates the passage of the gas across the exchanger. The connection unit has two peripheral joint edges (4, 5) formed by stamping using stainless steel.
