Abstract

A packaging unit (1) for foodstuffs (10) sensitive to oxygen consists of a multilayered foil which is folded about a line (6) at the end opposite to the opening and the closure flap of the unit in such a way that the layer (13) forms the inner surface (16) of the unit. Hot-sealing lacquer (21) is used to attach the closure flap to the foil layer (12) constituted as an outer barrier layer.
