Abstract

The board-shaped workpieces (4) to be treated are made of wood, wooden material or similar and coated with an abrasive layer (5). At least one groove (17) is made on the workpieces where the abrasive coating is. The surface sections (19) of the workpieces are pulled off where the abrasive layer is. The pulling off is done after making the groove and the surface section to be pulled off borders at least one of the grooves. The groove has a depth greater than or the same as the thickness of the abrasive layer. Treatment device (1) has an appliance to make the groove, one to pull off the abrasive layer and to convey the workpiece from one appliance to another.
