Abstract

The mixer, for concrete etc, has a rotary driven drum with rear-end opening whose edge is circular. A discharge funnel fixed to the vehicle chassis covers the bottom part of the opening, while a round cover closing the opening hinges at the top on a bracket fixed to the chassis and passes through a loading funnel. A seal between the cover and the edge of the opening allows rotation of the drum while preventing spillage of the contents of the latter. A ram swings the cover between the open and shut positions. The top edge of the discharge funnel (5) contains a round cutaway portion matching the outline of the bottom part of the cover (17), so that the latter can be swung out beyond the funnel. The arms of a bracket on which the cover hinges can be fixed to the outside portions of the discharge funnel. The cover can be swung by two rams (31,32) mounted at the sides these hinging on both the funnels.
