Abstract

The invention relates to a refrigerating device comprising a heat-insulating housing (2) which can be closed by a door (1). Said door (1) comprises a door leaf (3), a circumferential sealing strip (4) situated on an inner surface of the door leaf (3) and used for sealing the door to a frame (5) of the housing, and a handle (12) which is mounted on the door leaf (3) in a moveable manner. An active arm (7) which is connected to the handle (12) enables contact to be made in a first position between the sealing strip (4) and the frame (5), and protrudes against said frame (5) in a second position to avoid making said contact. The door leaf (3) can optionally be mounted on the housing in such a way that it can rotate about one of two axes in the region of its vertical edges. The handle (12) and the active arm (7) are embodied in two parts and can be connected to each other in two mirror-image configurations.
