Abstract

The invention concerns a container with a pre-formed flexible base (1) in the manner of a flat-ended bag. The edges (7) of the base (1) are held in their directly superimposed position by a removable connection element (2). By removing the connection element (2) the container, which only occupies a small space, can easily be unfolded to form a flat-ended bag which can stand upright reliably and has a considerably enlarged capacity.
