Abstract

The profile comprises two metal profiles (1,2) which are held together at a distance from one another by at least one connecter (3) formed by solid intumescence strips. These strips are provided with through holes (4) for counterpoised screwing of the two metal profiles. The connector can also be formed from thin-walled profile parts, which at least in the area of their ribs extending between the metal profiles are provided with intumescence strips. The thin-walled profile parts are of refined steel and in cross-section are quadratic or rectangular. They can also be of X-shaped formation in cross-section and covered completely by intumescence material.
