Bindemittel für den Formsand für Cinsskernstücke.
Durch das Stammpatent Nr. 92131 ist die Verwendung von durch Streudüsen oder durch Behandlung mittels Windsichter in feinste Pulverform gebrachtem Pech, Asphalt, Harz od. dgl. Bitumen als Bindemittel für den Formsand für Gusskernstücke geschützt.
Es wurde nun gefunden, dass es zweckmässig ist, dem feinverteilten Pech, Asphalt, Harz usw. anorganische Bindemittel oder Braunkohlen-, Torf-, Lignitstaub zuzumischen. Der hiedurch erzielte Vorteil besteht darin, clans man mit erheblich geringeren Mengen, ungefähr der Hälfte, von dem teuren Pech usw. ebenso gute und haltbare Kerne herstellen kann, wie mit pulverisiertem Pech allein. Ferner wird hiedurch erreicht, dass die Neigung des Peches, beim Versand oder Lagern bebonders bei höheren Temperaturen zusammenzukleben, gänzlich aufgehoben wird.
Zur Herstellung guter, brauchbarer Kerne können ausser bindefähigen Erden auch sonstige anorganische Bindemittel wie Ton, Letten, Kaolin, Schieferton, Puzzolanerde, Zement, Portlandzement, Magnesiazement, Kalk, Gips, Alkalien, Gichtstaub usw. in möglichst feiner Verteilung den organischen Bituminis zugemischt werden.

The parent patent no. 92131 protects the use of pitch, asphalt, resin or the like bitumen, brought into the finest powder form by scattering nozzles or by treatment using an air classifier, as a binding agent for the molding sand for cast core pieces.
It has now been found that it is expedient to add inorganic binders or lignite, peat or lignite dust to the finely divided pitch, asphalt, resin, etc. The advantage achieved in this way is that clans can be produced with considerably smaller quantities, approximately half, of the expensive pitch, etc., as good and durable kernels as with pulverized pitch alone. This also means that the pitch's tendency to stick together during shipping or storage, especially at higher temperatures, is completely eliminated.
To produce good, usable cores, other inorganic binders such as clay, lettuce, kaolin, slate, pozzolana, cement, portland cement, magnesia cement, lime, gypsum, alkalis, gout dust, etc. can be added to the organic bituminous in as finely a distribution as possible, in addition to earths that can be bound.
