Device for removing soot and fly ash from the heating or flame pipes of
Steam boilers.

The invention relates to improvements in a blow head for the device for blowing out steam boiler tubes by means of a steam nozzle during operation with the smoke chamber door closed, according to Patent No. 75297.
 EMI1.1
the line A-B of FIG. 1.

The blow head shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 is set up in such a way that the sweeping mixture of hot gases and steam runs obliquely to the pipe axis in a direction almost opposite to the steam inflow direction.

The blow head consists here essentially of two tubes 6 'and 7 arranged in the same axis, of which the inner 6' penetrates a pipe section 8 in a direction inclined to the pipe axis, which is inserted into a connection 3 'for the supply of the steam into the annular space 71 between the Pipes 6 ', 7 ends and forms a tight connection with the outer pipe 7. On the other hand, the two tubes are closed by a nut 9 which is screwed into the inner tube 6 and carries the exchangeable steam nozzle 4 on its axis. It also has a radial bore 10 to guide the steam from the annular space 71 in front of the rear nozzle opening and an annular slot 11 through which the

This embodiment of the blow head is preferably used for cleaning ship boilers.

The blow head is attached to the end of the steam supply pipe and inserted through one of the flame tubes from the smoke chamber side into the fire box, the sweeping mixture being thrown through the flame tubes in the pulling direction.

The new blow head can also be operated with compressed air instead of steam.
