Es ist vorteilhaft, den metallischen Innenbelag über die ganze Länge des Lampenrohres auszudehnen, so dass ein guter Kontakt zwischen dem Glühfilm und der die Lampenkontakte 14 einschliessenden Graphitfüllung 13 erhalten wird. Wenn die Verbindung zwischen der Graphitfüllung und dem Glühfilm nur an den Rändern desselben stattfinden würde, würde nur ein höchst unvollkommener Kontakt erreicht werden. Nachdem das Quarzrohr mit dem Innenbelag 11 ausgekleidet ist, wird der grösste Teil des Rohres mit gepulvertem Quarz, Thoroxyd oder anderen feuerfesten, nichtleitenden Materialien 12 ausgefüllt, welche Packung als Stütze für den Glühfilm 11 dient.
Hierauf werden die Lampenkontakte 14 in die Rohrenden eingeführt, in bekannter Weise in Graphit eingebettet und das Lampenrohr durch einen Deckel 15 dicht 0 verschlossen,
Die Zusammensetzung der die Packung 12 bildenden Materialien wird derart gewählt, dass der Ausdehnungskoeffizient der Packung und jener des Lampcnglases 10 nahezu gleich sind.
Die Lampe kann auch ohne die vorerwähnte Packung 12 verwendet werden, in welchem Falle die zur Einbettung der Lampenkontakte vorgesehene Graphitfüllung durch in das Lamponrohr eingebaute Zwischenwände am Orte gehalten wird.
Wenn Strom zugeführt wird, erhitzt sich der röhrenförmige Glühkörper 11 auf Glühhitze und strahlt ein intensives Licht aus. Zur Verstärkung der Lichtwirkung können auch mehrere in einer Birne angeordnete Röhren 10 verwendet werden.
Bei der in Fig. 2 gezeigten Ausführungsform der Lampe sind zwei Leuchtröhren vorgesehen, welche an einem Ende durch den Draht 14n, an dem anderen Ende durch die Stromzuführungsdrähte 14 in der üblichen Weise verbunden sind. Die in dem Sockel J7 eingelassene Birne ist luftleer gemacht, um die die Lichtintensität störend beeinflussenden Strahl verluste hintanzuhalten.
Das in Fig. 1 dargestellte Leuchtrohr kann übrigens ohne weiteres auch für sich ohne Anwendung einer Birne als Glühlampe verwendet worden.

If the connection between the graphite filling and the glow film were to take place only at the edges of the same, only a highly imperfect contact would be achieved. The lamp contacts 14 are then inserted into the tube ends, embedded in graphite in a known manner and the lamp tube is tightly closed by a cover 15,
The composition of the materials forming the packing 12 is selected such that the coefficient of expansion of the packing and that of the lamp glass 10 are almost the same.
The lamp can also be used without the aforementioned packing 12, in which case the graphite filling provided for embedding the lamp contacts is held in place by partitions built into the lamp tube.
When power is supplied, the tubular incandescent body 11 is heated to glow heat and emits an intense light. Several tubes 10 arranged in a bulb can also be used to intensify the lighting effect.
In the embodiment of the lamp shown in FIG. 2, two fluorescent tubes are provided which are connected at one end by the wire 14n and at the other end by the power supply wires 14 in the usual manner. The bulb embedded in the base J7 is made evacuated in order to prevent the beam losses which interfere with the light intensity.
The light tube shown in Fig. 1 can also easily be used as a light bulb without using a bulb.
