The invention relates to an attachment for a cigarette box and a correspondingly designed cigarette box.

Cigarettes are usually sold in cigarette packs. The cigarette packet is essentially cuboid and consists of reinforced paper, cardboard, cardboard or the like and is usually printed for advertising purposes. The inside is often lined with coated paper, foil or the like. On the outside, a transparent and tearable plastic film is usually provided as a cover. In order to be able to access the inside of the cigarette box and to be able to remove the cigarettes from the inside, an openable flap is arranged on the cigarette box. Such a cigarette packet is also referred to as a hard pack, in contrast to a soft pack, in which a sleeve consists of a thin, deformable paper and is also essentially cuboid.

After the cigarette is smoked, the leftover cigarette butt or stub is usually squeezed into an ashtray and disposed of therein. Especially in the great outdoors or when strolling through a city or while waiting, for example at a bus stop, there is often no ashtray available, so that the cigarette butt is disposed of by simply throwing it away. For reasons of environmental protection, in particular with regard to the cigarette filter which is difficult to rot, this is very worrying.

In order to solve this garbage problem, it is known to assign an ashtray to the cigarette packet. For example, DE 299 01 733 U1 describes a cigarette packet with an integrated ashtray. The casing of the cigarette box is designed in such a way that not only can the cigarettes be accommodated, but a drawer-like ashtray can be pulled out of a separate compartment and pushed back in when not in use.

Furthermore, US Pat. No. 3,112,029 discloses a cigarette packet to which a separate ashtray is integrally formed. In order to be able to fill the ashtray, a beak-like tab is provided which can be folded out laterally from a wall of the ashtray.

Finally, from US Pat. No. 3,057,465 B1, an attachment for a cigarette box is known which can be at least partially pushed or placed onto the cigarette box with a correspondingly designed opening. In this essay there is also a drawer that can be pulled out and pushed back in, which can hold ashes and cigarette stubs. The proposed material is rubber, the production of such an attachment requiring considerable effort.

The invention is based on the object of specifying an attachment for a cigarette packet which has a simple structural design and is easy to use. Furthermore, a correspondingly designed cigarette box should be specified.

According to the invention, these objects are achieved by the features of claims 1 and 7.

The core idea of the invention is that the attachment for a cigarette box comprises in a known manner an open housing that can be pushed onto an existing and usually designed in a standardized size cigarette box, which is designed in particular as a hard pack described above is. When moving or displacing the tab, it is then displaced in such a way that the opening in the tab is essentially aligned with the stub hole in order to expose it. To close the stub hole, the tab is then moved in such a way that the opening therein is then no longer arranged above the stub hole, so to speak.

In the context of the invention, the material of the attachment and a mechanism for moving the tab can be configured in any manner, but preferably as described below.

It goes without saying that the attachment can be shaped accordingly in order to be arranged releasably and movably by a mere snug fit on the cigarette packet. That is to say, the attachment is adapted to the contour and size of the respective cigarette packet in such a way that it can be captively slipped onto it without additional fastening means, adhesive points or the like. The attachment can thus be attached and removed again without tools and, if necessary, disposed of separately.

In particular, the attachment can be designed as a disposable item that can be placed on the cigarette box and disposed of together with the cigarette box after use, or when all cigarettes have been smoked from the cigarette box.

The advantage of the invention is that when the cigarette box is empty it can be disposed of together with the postponed attachment in normal household waste. In particular, the cigarette butts or the stubs are not carelessly disposed of in the environment.

The subclaims represent advantageous embodiments of the invention.

In a first embodiment, the attachment consists of a particularly coated material, for example paper, cardboard, cardboard or the like, as is also used to manufacture a cigarette packet. In order to reduce the risk of fire from embers on the cigarette butt or from hot ashes, this material is coated, for example with aluminum and / or another metal and / or with another refractory material. For this purpose, the tab itself is preferably equipped with an opening in order to either expose or cover the stub hole, depending on the position of the tab with the opening relative to the housing of the attachment. In principle, the flap can also be pulled out of the holding loop formed by the slots and also peeled off relative to the pivoting section in order to expose the stub hole. In this case, the tab does not need its own opening.

For easy use of the attachment, one or more handles, in particular in one piece, are integrally formed on this or on its housing. At the handle, which is formed on the narrow side wall in the area of the opening of the housing, for example, the attachment can be gripped and turned over onto the cigarette packet and then pulled off again. The handle can also serve as an insertion aid for threading the cigarette packet into the attachment.

According to a further embodiment, the attachment is assigned a material section made of essentially the same material as for the housing of the attachment. This section of material is attached to the bottom of the cigarette packet before the attachment is pushed onto it. A closed ashtray is thus obtained through the interior of the housing and the additional material section at the bottom of the cigarette packet, which points into the interior of the housing of the attachment. In particular, the material section consists of a refractory material such as a coated paper corresponding to the attachment. To attach the material section to the bottom of the cigarette box, it can be factory-equipped with an adhesive point or the like.

In the foregoing, the attachment was described as a separate device that can be sold separately from a pack of cigarettes. In principle, however, a cigarette box can already be equipped at the factory with such a movable attachment and, in particular, with an additional refractory material section on the bottom, in order to be able to use the unit cigarette box and attachment for the ashes and cigarette butts as disposable items and to dispose of them after use.
