Abstract

Un método llevado a cabo por un nodo de red para la configuración de un Protocolo de Convergencia de Paquetes de Datos (PDCP) para un dispositivo inalámbrico en una red de comunicaciones. La red de comunicaciones comprende un primer tipo de red de núcleo y un segundo tipo de red de núcleo. El nodo de red decide (801) si el nodo de red es un nodo maestro o un nodo secundario para el dispositivo inalámbrico. Cuando el nodo de red es un nodo maestro, configura (803) el PDCP para el dispositivo inalámbrico con base en a cuál entre el primer y el segundo tipo de red de núcleo se conecta el dispositivo inalámbrico. Cuando el nodo de red es un nodo secundario, configura (804) el PDCP para el dispositivo inalámbrico 120 con base en uno cualquiera o más de: a cuál entre el primer y el segundo tipo de nodo maestro se conecta el nodo de red, y a cuál entre el primer y el segundo tipo de red de núcleo se conecta el dispositivo inalámbrico. El primer tipo y el segundo tipo se refieren a diferentes generaciones de redes de telecomunicaciones.
