Abstract
La presente divulgación proporciona métodos, dispositivos y productos de programas informáticos para la cuantificación no uniforme de parámetros relacionados con la codificación espacial paramétrica de señales de audio. La divulgación se refiere además a un método y un aparato para la reconstrucción de un objeto de audio en un sistema de decodificación de audio teniendo en cuenta los parámetros cuantificados de manera no uniforme. De acuerdo con la divulgación, dicho enfoque hace posible reducir el consumo de bits sin reducir sustancialmente la calidad del objeto de audio reconstruido. Reivindicación 1: Un método en un decodificador de audio para la decuantificación de parámetros cuantificados relacionados con la decodificación de señales de audio, caracterizado porque comprende: recibir al menos un primer parámetro cuantificado y un segundo parámetro cuantificado; decuantificar el primer parámetro cuantificado de acuerdo con un primer esquema de cuantificación escalar que tiene primeros tamaños de paso no uniformes para obtener un primer parámetro decuantificado, en donde los primeros tamaños de paso no uniformes se seleccionan de manera que los tamaños de paso más pequeños se utilizan para rangos del primer parámetro en donde la percepción humana del sonido es más sensible y los tamaños de paso más grandes se utilizan para rangos del primer parámetro en donde la percepción humana del sonido es menos sensible; determinar un factor de ajuste de escala sobre la base del primer parámetro decuantificado; y decuantificar el segundo parámetro cuantificado sobre la base de un segundo esquema de cuantificación escalar que tiene segundos tamaños de paso no uniformes para obtener un segundo parámetro decuantificado.
