Abstract

Método de deshidratación de una suspensión mineral acuosa que comprende introducir en la suspensión un sistema de floculación que comprende una mezcla de polímeros de óxido de polietileno, en particular una mezcla de uno o varios polímeros de óxido de polietileno de alto peso molecular y uno o varios polímeros de óxido de polietileno de peso molecular ultraalto. Dicha mezcla de polímeros de óxido de polietileno es útil para el tratamiento de suspensiones de material particulado, en especial suspensiones minerales de desecho. La presente es particularmente apropiada para el tratamiento de relaves y otro material de desecho resultante del procesamiento de minerales, en particular, el procesamiento de relaves de arenas de petróleo.
