Abstract
Un proceso para la extracción de litio de una salmuera, en el que una solución de la salmuera se pone en contacto con un adsorbente de titanato de un modo tal que los iones de litio se adsorben sobre el mismo mientras que rechaza básicamente todos los demás cationes. El adsorbente se proporciona en forma de un dióxido de titanio hidratado o un titanato de sodio. El proceso produce a su vez una solución de cloruro de litio básicamente pura.
