Abstract
Se divulga un método para proteger un triturador de rodillos (1), que tiene dos rodillos (2) separados por un espacio (3), contra objetos no triturables (T). El método comprende los siguientes pasos: detectar un objeto no triturable (T) en una corriente de entrada de alimentación de material (M); abrir una separación (3) entre dichos rodillos hasta un ancho de desvío, que es notablemente más grande que un ancho de operación, de tal forma que se permite que dicho objeto no triturable pase a través a dicha separación (3); restringir una entrada de alimentación (4) a dicha separación (3), de forma tal que el material se alimenta a dicha separación (3) a una velocidad de entrada de alimentación restringida; determinar que dicho objeto no triturable (T) ha pasado a través de dicha separación (3); reducir dicha separación (3) a dicho ancho de operación; y abrir dicha entrada de alimentación (7) a dicha separación (3), de forma tal que el material (M) se alimenta a dicha separación (3) a una velocidad de entrada de alimentación de operación. También se divulga un triturador de rodillos (1) que cuenta con un sistema de protección para proteger el triturador de rodillos (1) contra objetos no triturables (T).
