Abstract

El polipéptido detecta cationes metálicos monovalentes y divalentes, por ejemplo Au, Cu, Ag, Hg, Pb, Cd, Co y Zn.Mutated polypeptide, strains comprising it and methods for detecting monovalent and divalent metal cations, wherein the polypeptide comprises a substitution of serine with cysteine at position 77 of SEQ ID No. 1 or SEQ ID No. 2; and wherein said protein has transcriptional regulator activity, for example GoIS or CueR. The polypeptide detects monovalent and divalent metal cations, for example Au, Cu, Ag, Hg, Pb, Cd, Co and Zn.
