Abstract
Se describen composiciones y métodos para la recuperación de petróleo usando un sistema de polímero alcalino sin surfactante en agua dura o salmuera dura. La formulación incluye, además, un agente quelante, un agente alcalino (que puede ser el mismo que el agente quelante), y un co-solvente. Las formulaciones, tal como se describen aquí, son capaces de formar un surfactante in-situ, resultante en microemulsiones del tipo Winsor III de baja tensión interfacial.
