Abstract
Un método para identificar un sistema de hidrocarburos. Se obtiene una muestra de un área de interés. Una primera pluralidad de análisis se usa para determinar una estructura de comunidad de una ecología de la muestra. Una segunda pluralidad de análisis se usa para determinar una función de comunidad de la ecología de la muestra. La estructura de comunidad y la función de comunidad se usan para determinar si la ecología de la muestra concuerda con una ecología característica de un sistema de hidrocarburos. Cuando la ecología de la muestra concuerda con la ecología característica, la muestra se identifica como parte del sistema de hidrocarburos.
