Abstract
Se divulgan sistemas de tratamiento láser de Clase 1 o Clase 3R para aplicaciones médicas, de baja densidad de potencia y seguros para el ojo. Los sistemas que poseen irradiación de energía y rayos controlado pueden cumplir con los requisitos de seguridad láser de acuerdo con IEC 60825-1:2007 o equivalente para clasificación de seguro para la vista; la clasificación como láser de Clase 1 o láser Clase 3R. El sistema láser comprende una fuente láser de diodo, una sonda de fibra óptica, medios para detectar e identificar dicha sonda óptica y medios para asegurar que la energía láser transmitida desde la sonda de fibra está limitada a nivel de energía máximo pre-especificado por aplicación; longitud de onda; características de emisión; características de sonda; valores limitantes de acuerdo con las regulaciones de seguridad aplicadas. El dispositivo puede identificar la sonda de fibra óptica conectada para excluir el uso de sondas de fibra óptica no conformes y/o limitar la salida máxima de energía óptica de acuerdo con las regulaciones de seguridad láser. El sistema opera preferentemente en una longitud de onda de 1400 nm o mayor. La ruptura o goteo de la sonda de fibra es detectable y evitable.
