Abstract
Sistemas y métodos para procesar el fango de un sistema de limpieza de gases que limpia los gases provenientes de un convertidor para elaboración de acero, de manera tal que separa o aísla una significativa porción de las partículas de hierro metálico del fango y prepara estas partículas para una conveniente manipulación. En un sistema ilustrativo, el sistema Incluye un equipo separador que aísla las partículas de hierro metálico del fango y un equipo formador que transforma las partículas aisladas en briquetas que tienen una resistencia mecánica relativamente alta que permite que las briquetas mantengan su integridad durante la manipulación y el almacenamiento. Las briquetas con alto contenido de hierro metálico se pueden reciclar en el proceso de elaboración de acero, por ejemplo, como material de carga para un convertidor de oxígeno básico o un horno de arco eléctrico. El agua usada en el sistema se puede reciclar y reutilizar dentro del sistema, lo cual hace que el sistema no sea nocivo para el medio ambiente. Sistemas y métodos para elaborar materia prima en pellets y materia prima para sinterización para hacer arrabio, y las alimentaciones así obtenidas. Los particulados no metálicos se aíslan a partir del residuo de los gases de escape del convertidor para la elaboración de acero y se incorporan en el pellet y/o la materia prima para sinterización. En una forma de realización, los particulados no metálicos se desagregan de las partículas metálicas del residuo usando un conducto de cavitación acústica. En un ejemplo de elaboración de materia prima en pellets, los particulados no metálicos se mezclan con mineral de hierro, piedra caliza, carbón y bentonita para formar una mezcla que se pelletiza en pellets verdes, los cuales luego se cuecen para formar la materia prima en pellets. En un ejemplo de elaboración de materia prima para sinterización, los particulados no metálicos primero se micro-pelletizan y luego se mezclan con mineral de hierro, piedra caliza y carbón para formar una mezcla que luego se cuece y se tritura para formar la materia prima para sinterización.
