Abstract

Se expone un método y un aparato para la selección de un canal para la comunicación con el enlace ascendente, el cual incluye la determinación de si una celda ofrece apoyo a la transmisión sobre un canal de acceso aleatorio y mejorado (CAAM) y la selección de si enviar las comunicaciones del enlace ascendente sobre el CAAM o sobre el canal de acceso aleatorio. Un método para la selección de un intervalo de tiempo de transmisión (ITT) para ser utilizado en un CAAM, el cual incluye la evaluación de las condiciones de radio medidas en el equipo del usuario y de seleccionar un largo ITT en caso de que las condiciones del radio sean negativas, y de seleccionar un corto ITT en caso de que las condiciones del radio sean positivas. Alternativamente, el ITT puede ser seleccionado basado en una cantidad de datos a ser transmitidos en el enlace ascendente. Un equipo de usuario, un circuito integrado, o un Nodo B, pueden ser configurados para la realización de cualquiera de los métodos.
