Abstract
Dispositivo para sensar multiples áreas de contacto contra objetos en forma simultánea que comprende una pluralidad de zonas sensibles en un medio de transmision de senales, las que se ven alteradas por el contacto de los objetos. Más de un área de contacto puede discriminarse de otra simultáneamente y sin que se confundan de forma significativa. Las senales que atraviesan el medio son generadas y sensadas por transductores que pueden ubicarse lejos o fuera de las áreas sensibles, por lo que el medio puede construirse sin verse invadido por elementos con funciones adicionales. Los transductores se disponen convenientemente para permitir la discriminacion de dos o más áreas de contacto simultáneas. El medio puede circunscribirse en un espacio sustancialmente angosto y ser atravesado por otras senales no necesarias para el funcionamiento del dispositivo, sin que unas y otras se interfieran de forma significativa. Las senales recibidas por los sensores resultan representativas de las áreas de contacto y pueden analizarse de manera de reconstruir lo más fielmente posible tales áreas.
