Abstract

Una goma de mascar que comprende al menos un ingrediente farmacéutico activo (API), que tiene un nucleo sobre el que se aplica al menos un recubrimiento interno de película de polímero y después se aplica al menos un recubrimiento duro externo. Un API preferido es la nicotina. Los agentes saborizantes se pueden incorporar en el nucleo, en al menos un recubrimiento interno de película de polímero y/o en al menos un recubrimiento duro externo. Las gomas de mascar formadas muestran un efecto de larga duracion de agente(s) saborizante(s) y el predominio de agentes saborizantes del (de los) recubrimiento(s) sobre el (los) agente(s) saborizante(s) del nucleo. Por lo tanto logran a) evitar los problemas de incompatibilidad química o farmacéutica entre un API en el nucleo y agente(s) saborizante(s) en el (los) recubrimiento(s) y b) aumentar de control de la liberacion del API y de los excipientes no activos.
