Abstract
Se proveen ácidos nucleicos y polipéptidos aislados asociados con la regulacion del metabolismo de lípidos y azucares. En particular, se proveen proteínas del metabolismo de los lípidos (LMP) y ácidos nucleicos codificadores que provienen de Arabidopsis thaliana. Los ácidos nucleicos y los polipéptidos se usan en métodos para producir plantas transgénicas y modular los niveles de compuestos de deposito en las semillas en una planta. Con preferencia, los compuestos de deposito en las semillas son lípidos, ácidos grasos, almidones o proteínas de deposito en las semillas.
