Abstract

Un método para dispersar, disolver o reducir la viscocidad de incrustantes de hidrocarburo incluyendo petroleo pesado, alquitranes, asfaltenos, hidrocarburos aromáticos polinucleares, coque, polímeros, petroleo liviano, hidrocarburo oxidado y productos de descomposicion térmica, y similares en fluidos que están en contacto con equipos de procesamiento de hidrocarburo y que comprende el contacto de los incrustantes con una cantidad efectiva de un solvente orgánico, libre de halogeno, que posee una densidad mayor que el agua a la temperatura de proceso.
