Abstract
Vehículos para catalizadores que se utilizan como soportes en componentes catalizadores de metal y oxido de metal para usar en una diversidad de reacciones químicas. Más específicamente, la invencion proporciona un proceso para formular un vehículo de alfa alumina que es apropiado como soporte para plata y el uso de dicho catalizador en reacciones químicas, especialmente la epoxidacion de etileno a oxido de etileno. La composicion comprende por lo menos un precursor hidratado de alfa alumina; una alfa alumina opcional; y un aglutinante. La composicion está sustancialmente libre de partículas de siembra.
