Compuestos de la formula (1), en donde R es carboxilo, carboxilo esterificado, o carboxilo amidado; R1 y R3 son independientemente alquilo inferior, (hidroxi, alcoxi inferior, amino, acilamino, mono- o di- alquilamino inferior, o mercapto)-alquilo inferior, alquilo inferior-(tio, sulfinil o sulfonil)-alquilo inferior, cicloalquilo, arilo, biarilo, (cicloalquil, aril, o biaril)- alquilo inferior, o (carboxi, carboxi esterificado, o carboxi amidado)-alquilo inferior; R2 es hidrogeno, alquilo inferior, cicloalquilo, arilo biarilo, arilaminocarbonilo, o aril- (oxi, tio, o amino); n es 1 o 2; Y es alquileno inferior o alquenileno inferior; y sales farmacéuticamente aceptables de los mismos; los cuales son utiles como antagonistas de LFA-1.
