Abstract

Un proceso para la preparacion de materiales compuestos reforzados con fibras en los cuales la matriz de polímero se deriva de la reaccion catalizada de un material que contiene un poliisocianato líquido. El principio del mecanismo de curado es la formacion de uniones de uretano y/o isocianurato . Por lo menos una porcion del catalizador se aplica sobre la superficie de las fibras del material de refuerzo y/o sobre la superficie de la estructura de refuerzo impregnada con resina no curada, bajo condiciones tales que el catalizador está disperso en el seno de la resina que contiene isocianato hasta el curado. El curado se facilita por una combinacion de acciones térmica y mecánica. El proceso es particularmente apropiado para la preparacion de materiales compuestos por pultrusion usando una máquina de pultrusion de bano abierto de un componente. El proceso de la invencion se puede adaptar a un rango más amplio de métodos de fabricacion, incluyendo el SMC y el bobinado de filamentos.
