Abstract
La presente se refiere ala detección serológica de animales vacunados frente a Neospora caninum mediante la reacción del suero de un sujeto con una proteína reactiva frente a N. caninum. La proteína puede ser una proteína completa nativa o recombinante de bradizoíto de N. caninum o de Toxoplasma gondii, o una proteína de fusión, o una proteína de fusión truncada o fragmento de las mismas. La proteína puede utilizarse en cualquiera de una serie de ensayos, incluyendo ensayos de inmuno absorción con enzimas ligadas (ELISA), radioinmunoensayo (RIA), transferencia Western y otras formas adecuadas de inmunoensayo. Reivindicación 1: Un procedimiento para distinguir un animal naturalmente seropositivo frente a N.caninum de un animal vacunado con una vacuna de Neospora, caracterizado porque comprende obtener una muestra de suero del animal, poner en contacto el suero con una proteína de Toxoplasma gondii y examinar en el suero la presencia de anticuerpo unido.
