Abstract

Proceso para preparar un producto absorbente descartable que comprende alimentar una lámina continua de material impermeable a fluido que tiene una longitud longitudinal y un ancho transversal, siendo ésta alimentada en la dirección de la longitud longitudinal de dicha lámina continua de material impermeable a fluido; colocar un núcleo absorbente transversalmente en relación a la longitud longitudinal de dicha lámina continua de material impermeable a fluido, teniendo el núcleo absorbente una longitud, una región central y una línea central longitudinal; colocar una lámina continua de material permeable a fluido de manera tal que el núcleo absorbente esté ubicado entre dicha lámina continua de material impermeable a fluido y dicha lámina continua de material permeable a fluido, uniendo la lámina continua de material impermeable a fluido a la lámina continua de material permeable a fluido por medio de adhesión y formando por lo menos una lámina doble continua, teniendo la lámina doble continua una línea central longitudinal, un ancho transversal y bordes opuestos; cortar periódicamente dicha lámina doble continua para formar una sucesión de productos absorbentes dispuestos transversalmente, lado con lado, teniendo dicho producto una línea central longitudinal, la región central del núcleo absorbente y la línea central longitudinal del producto absorbente que están ubicadas aproximando un correspondiente extremo frontal de cada respectivo producto absorbente y simultáneamente estando verticalmente alineadas con la línea central longitudinal de la lámina doble. Los productos absorbentes descartables obtenidos según este proceso incluyen panales, toallas sanitarias y similares que tienen una forma tal que la pérdida de material reducida a cero. Dichos productos presenta un núcleo absorbente que tiene una menor probabilidad de fuga lateral.
