Abstract

La presente se relaciona con un disco optico para grabar datos en una densidad constante, llamada CLV (Velocidad Lineal Constante) o en un CLV zonificado.El disco tiene cabezales distribuidos a lo largo del disco en posiciones angulares regulares,un así llamado patron CAV (Velocidad Angular Constante)subdividiendo la pista en porciones de pistas para grabar una cantidad de datos proporcional a la posicion radial de la porcion de pista concerniente. Lainformacion de direccion incluida en loscab ezales es provista en la densidad de datos, que es CLV. El aparato comprende medios de deteccion de cabezal paradetectar los cabezales en las ubicaciones CAV, y para recuperar informacion de posicion de las cabezales en la densidad CLV. Lossectores de datos no comienzanen los cabezales y no encajan regularmente entre los cabezales, pero comienzan y finalizan en posiciones arbitrarias que son calculadas de las cantidades dedatos grabables en las porciones de pista.
