Abstract
Los homologos del gen de Arabidopsis NIM1, que está involucrado en la cascada de transduccion de senales que conduce a resistencia sistémica adquirida(SAR), se aislan a partir de cultivos de monocotiledoneas tales como Triticum aestivum (trigo) y Ory za sativa (arroz). La presente se refiere además a losvectores de transformacion y a los procedimientos para expresar los homologos monocotiledoneos NIM1 en plantas transgénicas para aumentar la expresion génicade la SAR y mejorar la resistencia de a mplio espectro a la enfermedad.
