Abstract
Se trata de un método para desvolatizar polímeros termoplásticos que contienen al menos un componente volátil que incluye los pasos de: calentarel polímero termoplástico hasta que el polímero termoplástico sea un polímero termoplástico líquido caliente; hacer circular el polímero termoplásticolíquido caliente a través de un lecho compactado por centrifugacion y hacer circular un gas de extraccion a contracorriente del flujo del polímerotermoplástico líquido calentado, para que el componente volátil se volatilice en el gas de extraccion desde el polímero termoplástico calentado,por el contacto de gas/líquido en el lecho empacado. También se propone un aparato para conducir dicho método que comprende un cámara rotativa, unacámara rotativa quecontiene un empaque para el procesamiento de contacto de gas líquido; un conducto de polímero, el conducto de polímero que se extiende ytermina dentro de la cámara rotativa para que el polímero termoplástico fundido pueda ser fluido en la cámara pormedio de un conducto mientras que lacámara esta siendo rotada de tal forma que el polímero termoplástico fundido luego fluya por medio del empaque por fuerza centrífuga para que el componentevolátil del polímero termoplástico fundido volatilice en la fase de gas en la cama empacada; y un sello de gas entre el conducto de polímero y la cámararotativa.
