Abstract

Un miembro de recipiente y una disposición de empaque protector que incluye dicho miembro de recipiente y que alojará un objeto frágil durante eltransporte o envío sin utilizar materiales de empaque voluminosos; el empaque es esencialmente plano ycumple en las dimensiones generales de un empaque deenvío normal en tanto que provee protección mejorada para el objeto contenido en el mismo;el sistema o la disposición de empaque protector incluye un empaquey un recipiente recibido dentro del empaque para el transporte de bienes frágiles aunque flexibles,planos y generalmente delgados;de conformidad con unamodalidad actualmente preferida, el sistema de empaque protector está disenado para transportar de manera segura muestras de prueba médica tales como manchasde sangre secas (DBSs) u otros fluidos corporales secos transportados mediante una tarjeta de prueba construida como un substrato flexible; la asociación deempaque y recipientes son flexibles lo suficiente para pasar a través del equipo automatizado del servicio postal de los Estados Unidos (u otro servicioportador) aunque es lo suficientemente rígido para soportar la manipulación encontrada en los servicios de correo para evitar el dano a los contenidos delempaque; el recipiente incluye la estructura para facilitar la inserción de un objeto dentro del recipiente así como la estructura para cubrir y protegeráreas predeterminadas del objeto.
