Se provee un novedoso promotor específico para tejido que ha sido aislado de la region no codificadora corriente arriba de un gen UFO de planta. Estepromotor, operativamente asociado con una secuencia de ácidos nucleicos que expresa unproducto de interés, inicia y regula la transcricion de talessecuencias en un tejido específico de meristema de los brotes. Asimismo se provee una construccion de ácido nucleico, una célula vegetal transgénica y unmétodo para proveertranscripcion aumen tada de una secuencia de ácida nucleico.
