Abstract

Un procedimiento para selectivamente remover contaminantes nitrogenados y/o sulfurados de corrientes conteniendo principalmente hidrocarburos con desde3 a 8 átomos de carbono que comprende una etapa de adsorción donde dichos contaminantes son adsorbidos por un adsorbente que consiste esencialmentede sílica gel a una temperatura de entre 0 y 150°C y a una presión de entre 1 y 20 atm, y una etapa de regeneración para remover las sustancias adsorbidasmediante tratamiento térmico en una corriente de gas inerte llevado a cabo a una temperatura de entre 100 y 200°C.
