Abstract
Provided in the present disclosure is an access control method performed at an UE, comprising: receiving multiple access control information corresponding to multiple network types from a base station; using the received multiple access control information, performing an access control check for networks of multiple network types, respectively; according to the result of the access control check, starting an access prohibition timer; and when the access prohibition timer expires, notifying an upper layer of the UE that the access prohibition is released. The present disclosure also provides a configuration method for access control of the UE performed at the base station, and the corresponding UE and base station.
Claims (4)
1. A user equipment (UE) comprising: a selecting unit, configured to select from multiple core network types, a core network type to be used for providing a service; a transceiver, configured to select an access control information corresponding to the selected core network type, from multiple pieces of access control information corresponding to multiple core network types and broadcasted by a base station, wherein the UE receives one piece of access control information corresponding to the selected network type, so as to perform a corresponding access control check based on the received access control information; a checking unit, configured to perform a corresponding access control check for the selected core network type using the received one piece of access control information while the user equipment is in a Radio Resource Control (RRC) inactive state or an RRC idle state; a starting unit, configured to start an access barring timer when a result of the access control check indicates that the access to the selected core network type is barred; an informing unit, configured to inform an upper layer of the user equipment that the barring is alleviated when the access barring timer expires; and when the result of the access control check indicates that the access is not barred, the UE initiates a RRC connection establishment request, wherein the UE selects the core network type to be used for providing a service based on one of the following: receiving an indication from an upper layer of the UE and comprising the network type; core network type priority information contained in system information or dedicated signalling received from the base station; a core network type that has been registered by the UE.
2. A method performed by a user equipment (UE), the method comprising: selecting from multiple core network types, a core network type to be used for providing a service; selecting an access control information corresponding to the selected core network type, from multiple pieces of access control information corresponding to multiple core network types and broadcasted by a base station, wherein the UE receives one piece of access control information corresponding to the selected network type, so as to perform a corresponding access control check based on the received access control information; performing a corresponding access control check for the selected core network type using the received one piece of access control information while the user equipment is in a Radio Resource Control (RRC) inactive state or an RRC idle state; starting an access barring timer when a result of the access control check indicates that the access to the selected core network type is barred; informing an upper layer of the user equipment that the barring is alleviated when the access barring timer expires; and when the result of the access control check indicates that the access is not barred, the UE initiates a RRC connection establishment request, wherein the UE selects the core network type to be used for providing a service based on one of the following: receiving an indication from an upper layer of the UE and comprising the network type; core network type priority information contained in system information or dedicated signalling received from the base station; a core network type that has been registered by the UE.
3. A user equipment according to claim 1, substantially as herein described and exemplified.
4. A method according to claim 2, substantially as herein described and exemplified. 17R00010/US 17R00010/US 17R00010/US 17R00010/US 17R00010/US 17R00010/US 17R00010/US 17R00010/US
