Abstract

603098 Disclosed is A crate (100) comprising a bottom and two respective pairwise opposing side walls (120) and two respective pairwise opposing end walls (130). Each side wall comprises a plurality of vent holes in a region (see A, figure 1) extending along a horizontal direction (see 101, figure 1) of the side wall. Each end wall comprises a grip hole (135). The region (A) is a distance (see dA, figure 5) away from a corner (see 505, figure 5) of the crate, the distance (dA) being equal to the distance (see dGH, figure 5) the grip hole is away from the same corner of the crate. A height (hA) of the region (A) is equal to the height (hGH) of the grip hole. This is such, that when crates are stacked perpendicularly, at the same height, the side vent holes of one crate aligns with the grip hole of another crate to allow ventilation between perpendicularly arranged crates.
