600023 Markers for pigmentation Provided is the use of an isolated genetic marker for distinguishing animals that have a trait of white spotting pigmentation, wherein said marker is a polymorphism in the tyrosinase-related protein-1 gene. Further provided are animals selected and bred by the method.
